NELSON MANDELA AMEFARIKI DUNIA NA HIZI NDO SALAMU ZA VIONGOZI WAKUBWA.

Rais wa zamani wa Afrika Kusini Nelson Mandela, ambaye aliwahi kutumikia kifungo cha miaka 27 jela kwa sababu ya kupambana na vitendo vya ubaguzi wa rangi na kuiongoza nchi yake ya Africa kusini kupata uhuru, amefariki dunia jana usiku akiwa na umri wa miaka 95, Mandela alikuwa akipata matibabu ya
maambukizi ya mapafu nyumbani kwake baada ya kulazwa kwa muda wa miezi mitatu  hospitalini. .Alikuwa alionekana mara chache hadharani tangu alipostaafu rasmi mwaka 2004 na hotuba yake ya mwisho kwa umma alifanya mwaka 2010, katika  Kombe la Dunia lilofanyikia Africa Kusini.

 Rais wa Afrika Kusini Jacob Zuma amethibitisha habari hii na kusema Afrika kusini imepoteza mtu mkubwa "Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father," South African President Jacob Zuma said. "What made Nelson Mandela great was precisely what made him human. We saw in him what we seek in ourselves." Ikumbukukwe ya kuwa Mandela alipewa Tuzo ya Amani ya Nobel kwa kutoa mchango katika nchi yake kupata amani licha ya kufungwa jela kwa miaka 27.

Rais wa Marekani Baraki Obama ametoa salamu, akisema yeye alikuwa ni mmoja wa mamilioni waliopata inspiration kutoka kwa Mandera na ameagiza bendera za White House kupepea nusu mlingoti, nae Kofi Annan amesema dunia imepoteza dira ya maadili, wakati huohuo Waziri mkuu wa Uingereza  David Cameron amesema  "a great light has gone out in the world".

Mwili wa marehemu Mandela umehifadhiwa katika mji mkuu, Pretoria, na mazishi yanaweza yakafanywa Jumamosi ijayo, huku bendera ya nchi hiyo zikipepea nusu mlingoti. Hii ndo historia yake fupi Nelson Mandera Madiba;
